We produce events across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, ranging from corporate events and weddings to large-scale festivals and private celebrations. We are looking for Delivery + Setup Drivers who take pride in their work, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and understand the importance of professionalism and execution. Why This Role Matters This is not a standard delivery position. As a Catering Delivery and Setup Driver, you are responsible for representing Catering by Michaels on-site for drop off catering. You are the face that clients interact with at their delivery event, and your professionalism, organization, and attention to detail directly impact the client experience. You are not just transporting food - you are helping set up delivery orders with buffet set ups, displays, and handling equipment. Once set up, you will walk through the order with the client and then head to the next delivery! Other functions like business errands, picking up equipment the next day, and packing delivery disposables are also in the day to day. All while driving a company vehicle. Our Drivers are always welcome to work at our full-service events as well. Key Responsibilities Deliver catering orders safely and on time throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs Set up food displays, catering equipment, and service areas according to company standards Serve as a professional representative of Catering by Michaels while interacting with clients, venue staff, and guests Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, equipment, and work areas Follow food safety, sanitation, and transportation standards at all times Assist with loading and unloading food, beverages, rentals, and catering equipment Support kitchen and operations teams during high-volume production periods and holidays Participate in vehicle inspections and maintain a safe driving record Qualifications Fluent in English Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a driving record check Comfortable lifting and moving items up to 40 pounds regularly Willingness to obtain Food Handler Certification or already possess one Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to stay organized and professional in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Spanish language skills are a plus. If you speak Spanish, you will be working alongside team members who do as well Work Environment This role is based out of our Morton Grove facility and supports catering events across Chicago. Start times and schedules vary depending on event timing and seasonal demand. Peak seasons and holidays require flexibility and a strong team mindset.
