Quincy-Delivery Driver/Warehouse

Connor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Delivery Driver/Warehouse position in Quincy, IL. We are looking for a career-minded person who is looking for a long-term position with a great company.

Candidates must:

Pass a pre-employment background check and drug testing. Be available to work from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Principal Accountabilities:

Process paperwork for all inbound freight including UPS and transfers Scan all paperwork in the Eclipse system Receives incoming material by entering actual items received versus quantities shown on packing slip Resolve vendor discrepancies (over/under shipments) General warehouse clerical duties Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition: check fluid levels and tire pressure: notify Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs Maintains truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; scheduling repairs Loads delivery truck with product securely-avoid damages Delivers items by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule Uses cell phone to report on the progress of deliveries Picks up returns items for the company Verifies products delivered against packing slip and has customer sign receipt Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests Process inbound materials to the warehouse. Compares quantities shown on packing slip or manifests with actual items received Efficient and effective loading and unloading of trucks Inspects items according to instructions and reports damaged goods Ensures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and placing in a proper container or designated area General housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting Assist customers at the counter Perform other duties as requested

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

High School Diploma or its equivalent Valid driver's license (Class C CDL required)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
