About Chain O'Lakes Correctional Facility:
Chain O'Lakes Community Re‑Entry Center is a minimum‑security facility located in Albion, Indiana, with a capacity of 140 incarcerated adult males. Positioned within Chain O'Lakes State Park in Noble County, the center provides a unique natural setting focused on the final 12-36 months of an individual's sentence. Incarcerated individuals participate in educational and treatment programs designed to support re‑entry. The facility also operates work crews that help maintain Pokagon State Park, Chain O'Lakes State Park, and other community projects. Partnerships with agencies such as the Noble County Surveyor's Office and the Indiana Department of Transportation, give incarcerated individuals hands‑on work experience. Role Overview:
 As a Part Time Driver, you will safely transports patients, residents, and incarcerated individuals to various locations. Ensures vehicles are clean and in safe operating condition, maintains trip documentation, and follows all handling protocols. 
Salary Statement:
 This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $16.24 but may be commensurate with education and work experience.

A Day in the
Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:

Drives patients, residents, or incarcerated individuals to various locations. Ensures vehicle clean, and safe to operate such as checking oil levels, gas, etc. Picks up supplies and other equipment as needed. Maintain mileage trip tickets for vehicles. Follows proper protocol when handling patients, residents, or incarcerated individuals. Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s) is an essential function of this position.

Success:
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:a valid Indiana Public Passenger Chauffeur License.

Specialized knowledge of driving straight truck and tractor/trailer road truck. Specialized knowledge of vehicle laws pertaining to truck and transportation. Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and repairs. Ability to supervise proper loading and unloading of trucks. Ability to drive in all types of weather. Ability to read maps and understand written directions. Ability to obtain appropriate vehicle operator license. Related certifications and coursework may be considered.
