Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving and the ability to handle heavy lifting, as well as experience with various types of vehicles including oversize loads. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, oversize trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload products, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly. Collaborate with other staff and be adaptable because things change. Qualifications Proven experience as a Driver, preferably in a courier or delivery driver role. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns. Ability to operate forklifts is a plus but not required. Must be able to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily duties. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
