In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting packages using a box truck or personal vehicle, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck or personal vehicle to deliver packages to residential and commercial locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, hand cart, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or route planning tools to maximize productivity and reduce delays. Manually handle heavy items (up to 150 lbs), ensuring proper weight handling in the workplace to prevent injuries. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring package accuracy during delivery. Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete shift reports, and document any issues encountered during routes. Experience Previous delivery driver experience or courier work is preferred but not required; we are looking for motivated individuals eager to learn. Experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices is essential for success in this role. Ability to adhere to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during all driving activities. Comfort using mobile devices for route navigation and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to load & unload packages efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
