Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Delivery Driver performs various service functions to assist and support the delivery of finished goods to customers. This position is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods Pack and load products onto trucks according to company's specifications Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher Unload goods as per client specifications Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Assist the Department Team Leader in daily tasks, fill in for absenteeism Notify the Department Team Leader of problems with equipment, devices, or products. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience. High school diploma or GED is required. Valid driver's license is required. Minimum 1 year's experience as Delivery Driver Clean driving record Strong customer service skills Must possess a positive and professional attitude
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift 100 pounds and push or pull 150 pounds Ability to read reports, orders, and other documentation. This position is frequently exposed to noise, cold or hot temperatures, dirt/dust, moving parts, fumes/odors, and heavy machinery and equipment. Ability to see and read reports, and other documentation; an ability to hear; and an ability to use fingers to handle paper and input data into computers. This position may require some exposure to a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
