Job Description
Basic Function:
Feed delivery drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently delivering manufactured feed to a variety of customer farms.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely
- Safely and efficiently transport materials and goods to designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Report any issues with equipment to Management
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate logistics.
- Must be willing to work long hours if needed (May be 10-to-12-hour days)
- Be kind and courteous to customers
- Perform other related duties as assigned by
Management Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, such as roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or forklifts.
- Familiarity with route driving and delivery procedures.
- Ability to safely load and unload cargo using proper techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
