Feed Mill Manager Work Schedule:

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with required overtime

Summary:

This position is responsible for the delivery of bulk feed to customers. Additionally, this position is expected to assist in the feed mill and other areas of the company as required and ensure smooth operations for the customer.

Essential Duties:

• Deliver feed to customers as scheduled
• Keep truck presentable both inside and out
• Bag and load various feeds for customers
• Unload product in the feed mill
• Ensure that all cleanliness and safety standards are being adhered to in the feed mill ensures that daily inspections, cleaning, etc., are accomplished
• Assist with related special projects, as required
• Answer the telephone, assist walk-in customers as needed
• Effectively communicate by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management
• Maintain and promote safety awareness; follow safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements;
• Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the Location Manager and/or General Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and write simple instructions, correspondence and memos
• Class A CDL, or ability to obtain within 6 months

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described are representative to those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand for extended lengths of time, read computer screens, talk on the phone, unpack and move supplies up to fifty or more (50+) pounds, reach, kneel, bend, climb or balance, and be able to safely get in and out of cooperative equipment using a 3-point stance as required, as well as push, pull, or carry heavy objects. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vehicles and vibration. Noise level in the work environment can be loud.
