Job Description
Role Overview PIC , a Genus PLC company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Part Time Delivery Driver. This role is responsible for delivering PIC product to customers in an efficient, safe, and bio-secure manner. The successful candidate has the ability to follow standard operating procedures, work autonomously and possesses strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. The position is based at Scottsville, KY with a starting rate is $17.50/per hour. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. You Will Deliver product to customers in a safe and timely fashion. Accurately load orders and check the route sheet to make sure all packages are loaded for the route prior to departure. Keep all semen packages stored in coolers to maintain optimal product temperature from loading to delivery. Adhere to pre-planned routes to meet the needs of customers while making the most efficient use of time and resources. Maintain route sheets, which include shift start and stop time, and accurately record the time and vehicle mileage at each stop. Address all questions in a courteous, professional, and service-oriented manner and direct the customer to the appropriate personnel if necessary. Follow the delivery bio-security protocols, including wearing disposable boots and gloves at every delivery and making sure all deliveries are made at neutral locations away from any hog buildings. Communicate with customers upon delivery if requested. Ensure that the sales staff is aware if deliveries will be made more than 2 hours after the customers' normal delivery time.
