Duties Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Deliver products promptly to retail stores, commercial clients, and other designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Manage heavy lifting and merchandising tasks with proper techniques to prevent injury and ensure product integrity. Build rapport with clients through professional communication, understanding their needs, and offering upselling opportunities when appropriate. Organize daily routes efficiently using organizational skills to maximize productivity and minimize delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain clear records of deliveries, pricing adjustments, and client interactions to support operational accuracy. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving within retail or distribution environments. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, automobile transportation laws, and safe lifting practices. Demonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for pricing adjustments and inventory counts. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, upselling, and team coordination. Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining organizational efficiency during busy delivery schedules. Familiarity with sales techniques, customer relationship building, and upselling strategies to enhance client satisfaction.
