Position Title:
Golf Cart Pickup/Delivery Driver & Shop Assistant Salary Range:
$12 - $18 per hour
Job Type:
Full-time Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and versatile Golf Cart Pickup/Delivery Driver & Shop Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role combines driving duties with hands-on shop support. When not on the road, you will assist our technicians with repairs, maintenance, cleaning, and general shop operations. The ideal candidate is an excellent driver who also enjoys working with tools and contributing to a team environment. You will play a key role in both customer transport and keeping our shop running smoothly. Transitioning military and veterans are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Pickup & Delivery Operations Plan and execute daily pickups of golf carts from customers' homes, businesses, golf courses, or storage facilities. Safely deliver repaired, serviced, or newly purchased golf carts back to customers on schedule. Properly load, secure, and unload golf carts using ramps, straps, and trailers to prevent damage. Optimize routes for efficiency while maintaining on-time performance. Customer Service & Communication Confirm pickup and delivery appointments with customers by phone or text. Provide real-time updates on arrival times and any changes. Greet customers professionally and answer basic questions about the process. Represent the company positively during every interaction. Shop Support & Maintenance Duties Assist in-shop technicians with basic diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and accessory installations when not driving. Clean, wash, and detail golf carts as needed before and after transport or service. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Assist with parts receiving, inventory counts, and shop organization. Support test drives and final quality checks on repaired carts. Vehicle & Equipment Care Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company trucks and trailers. Keep vehicles, trailers, and transport equipment clean and well-maintained. Report any mechanical issues promptly. Documentation & Reporting Complete accurate pickup/delivery logs with photos of cart condition. Document work performed in the shop and submit daily reports on time. Safety & Compliance Follow all traffic laws, safe driving practices, and shop safety protocols. Adhere to proper securement standards for golf cart transport. Qualifications Technical Skills Proficient at driving trucks with trailers and performing safe maneuvers. Willingness and ability to assist with basic mechanical tasks and shop work (training provided). Prior small engine, automotive, or powersports experience is a strong plus. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of professional driving or delivery experience (preferred). Any hands-on mechanical or shop experience is highly valued. Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required). Must pass a background check and drug screening.
