Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, maintaining organizational skills to optimize time and resources. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting practices, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building positive relationships through professional client communication and excellent customer service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe driving conditions. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to ensure safe and compliant deliveries. Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and delivery quantities accurately. Proven ability to build rapport with customers through excellent communication skills and professional demeanor. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently follow safe lifting practices. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation.
