ongoing training and growth opportunities. Driver Job Summary Your main responsibility will be to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents. As a Driver/Activities Assistant, you'll contribute to the well-being of our community members by providing reliable transportation for various activities and appointments. When you are not driving, your role involves creating experiences that cater to their physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being, making our community vibrant and lively.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport residents to and from appointments, outings, and community events. Ensure the comfort and well-being of passengers during transit. Connect with residents personally, understanding what they like and need to make sure activities are enjoyable and meaningful. Assist residents with boarding and exiting the van safely. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the van, conducting routine inspections. Assist in community programs and activities as needed. Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and community members. Report any issues or incidents promptly. Uphold a friendly and helpful demeanor to create a positive experience for residents.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate a car safely and responsibly. Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with seniors. Respectful and patient attitude towards residents. Physical ability to assist residents with boarding and exiting a vehicle.
