Job Duties:
Loads truck by ordering, placing and securing items. Updates job knowledge by participating in mandatory in-services. Strict adherence to the company policy and procedure manual All deliveries or pick ups of medical equipment, supplies will be done in a timely and professional manner. Comply with company provided uniforms. Selection of clean, properly operating equipment for delivery, loading of vehicles. All equipment is completely assembled, cleaned and tested for proper operation immediately before delivery and upon return from rental. All deliveries are completed in the correct prioritized order as dispatched by Distribution Manager or designee. All paperwork related to deliveries is complete, organized, accurate and submitted to the manager on duty after each and every run of deliveries. All scanning is completed each day as per instructions. All customer inquiries or complaints are immediately submitted in writing or verbally to the designated manager. All deliveries are made adhering strictly to the traffic laws and regulations as established by the state and/or DOT. Always wear seat belts and phone headsets.
•Be familiar with the required maintenance and care of delivery vehicle as well as relay possible problems or observations regarding need for vehicle maintenance. Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections of vehicle prior to beginning route and conclusion of day's route each day. Ensure each truck meets TGP's standard of cleanliness. Upon pick up, all equipment is properly tagged as to function (broken, malfunction, routine pick up), field cleaned, returned to TGP. Take 24hr. emergency on call and promptly respond within time frame outlined in on call policy. Complete on call report and hand in to supervisor. Always ensure that equipment that will be delivered has been serviced, cleaned and is ready for patient use. Understand and follow CHAP/Accreditation requirements. Follow all FDA, OSHA, DOT, CHAP and State rules and federal regulations as they apply to TGP. Assist other staff members as needed. Assist with training new employees. Other duties, as necessary or directed by Operations Manager, Regional, Branch Manager or his/her designee.
Requirements:
Min of 2 years of driving experience or willing to train the right candidate. Hazmat endorsement is a requirement for this position Good communication skills, dependable, and work independently. Flexible to accommodate hours of operation and be able to do overtime and on call when necessary. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
