Furniture Delivery Driver & Installer (Small Box Truck) 317 Muddy Branch Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878 $15.00 - $18.50 an hour - Full-time $15.00 - $18.50 an hour - Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Furniture Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and experience in manual labor, particularly in moving and installing furniture. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work efficiently in various environments, including residential and commercial settings. Duties Install and assemble furniture according to specifications and customer requirements. Safely load and unload furniture from vehicles, ensuring items are handled with care. Drive a van or truck to transport furniture to job sites, adhering to all traffic regulations. Provide exceptional customer service during installations, addressing any client concerns or questions. Operate forklifts as needed for moving heavy items within warehouses or job sites. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for after each job. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of installations while maintaining high-quality standards. Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of large furniture pieces, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Requirements Proven experience in furniture installation or related fields such as moving or warehouse operations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but not required. Experience with route driving and logistics for efficient transportation of goods. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during installations. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during installations.
