If you own a suitable vehicle such as an SUV or small transit van and enjoy driving, moving, and providing excellent customer service, this opportunity is perfect for you. As a delivery contractor, you will be responsible for safely transporting packages and goods to various locations, ensuring timely and professional service. Responsibilities Safely operate SUVs or small transit vans to deliver packages across designated routes. Load and unload items efficiently using manual lifting techniques. Navigate route driving with precision, following planned delivery schedules and optimizing routes for efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed professionally and courteously. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic safety checks before and after each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatch or support teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services with a focus on route driving. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Experience in on demand deliveries. Ability to lift heavy items safely during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with warehouse procedures, including load & unload operations. Knowledge of the MD., DC, and VA area.
