Responsibilities Safely operate trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages to residential and business addresses. Load and unload packages, ensuring accurate handling of all items with care. Follow designated routes efficiently, adhering to delivery schedules and traffic laws. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting recipients professionally and addressing any questions or concerns. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking for safety issues and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance. Assist with heavy lifting, moving packages as needed, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when applicable. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of deliveries, pickups, and route details. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Uphold safety standards at all times, including proper manual handling techniques and adherence to traffic regulations. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred. Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable; familiarity with route driving is a plus. Ability to operate a box truck or similar vehicle with manual transmission if required. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly throughout the shift. Experience working in warehouses or logistics environments is advantageous. Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, loading/unloading cargo, and operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is beneficial. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local streets or routes preferred.
