Job Description
Backyard Amusements is hiring Delivery Drivers / Event Setup Crew Members. This position includes driving company vehicles, delivering and setting up event rental equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with warehouse work during the week when available. Weekend availability is required. This is not a driving-only position. This role includes physical labor before, during, and after deliveries. Team members must be able to load and unload trucks, lift and move heavy equipment, roll and fold inflatables, work on grass, pavement, dirt, and uneven surfaces, and perform setup and breakdown outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other conditions. Applicants should be comfortable getting dirty, working on the ground when needed, and staying active throughout the shift. Responsibilities Delivery, Setup & Breakdown Safely operate company vehicles while following all traffic laws and company procedures. Deliver rental equipment to homes, schools, churches, businesses, military installations, government sites, and event venues. Load and unload inflatables, tables, chairs, tents, games, concessions, staging, and other event rental equipment. Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment according to company standards. Follow delivery schedules, route assignments, event notes, and customer instructions. Properly secure equipment during transport. Communicate professionally with customers, school staff, event organizers, military personnel, and team members. Complete deliveries, pickups, and breakdowns in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Report damaged, missing, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment to management. Warehouse Support Delivery Drivers also assist with warehouse duties during the week, including: Cleaning, drying, rolling, and organizing inflatables. Cleaning tables, chairs, games, concessions, and other rental equipment. Loading and staging equipment for upcoming events. Unloading returned equipment and placing it in the proper warehouse location. Assisting with inventory checks and equipment counts. Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Assisting with basic repairs, maintenance, and equipment preparation under supervision. Requirements Must be at least 21 years old to drive company vehicles under the company's commercial auto insurance policy. Valid driver's license. Acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Must be dependable, punctual, and professional. Must be available to work weekends. Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and extended shifts during busy seasons. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy equipment. Must be comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions. Must be able to follow directions and work well with a team. Event rental, delivery, moving, warehouse, landscaping, maintenance, or labor experience is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 75+ pounds with or without assistance . Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and carry equipment for extended periods . Ability to assist with loading and unloading large rental equipment. Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
