Job Description
We are looking for a reliable Afternoon Delivery Driver to join our team based out of the FedEx terminal in Biddeford, Maine. This is a part-time position for most of the year, typically averaging 25-35 hours per week. We currently project the schedule to be approximately 2:00 PM-7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, although start and end times may vary somewhat depending on daily volume and pickup requirements. From November 1 through January 3, this position requires approximately 40 hours per week due to increased holiday volume. Applicants must be available for the increased schedule during this period. The position involves driving a company-provided delivery van, completing afternoon deliveries and FedEx Express pickups, and returning packages to the terminal at the end of the day. Vehicles are generally smaller cargo vans such as Ford Transits, Transit Connects, or similar vehicles.
Responsibilities include:
Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle Complete assigned deliveries and scheduled pickups Load and unload packages Scan packages accurately Provide professional and courteous service to customers Return to the Biddeford terminal at the completion of the route Maintain a safe driving record and follow all FedEx and company safety requirementsSchedule:
Monday through Friday Projected hours of approximately 2:00 PM-7:00 PM, plus or minus depending on daily needs Typically 25-35 hours per week Approximately 40 hours per week required November 1 through January 3 No work on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to successfully complete a background screening and DOT drug screening as part of the hiring process.
