Job Description
Job description: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods, such as automotive paint and supplies to various locations locally while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving and possess the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading of cargo up too 50 lbs. A strong commitment to customer service and safety is essential. When not out driving, there will be general labor work available within the warehouse This is a steady job and a great company who values all employees. Shift time:
7 am to 4 pm Monday -Friday Pay Rate:
$15/hr Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and cargo van Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring all items are secured for transport. Navigate assigned routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Verify delivery items with the customer and obtain proper signature. Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during delivery. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Will frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 50 lbs. Assist in moving products within the warehouse as needed, including operating forklifts when required. Assist in the warehouse when not driving, including but not limited too: pulling orders, packing orders, restocking shelves, etc. Experience Previous experience in commercial driving or as a courier is preferred. Familiarity with route driving and local geography is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day. Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus. Knowledge of loading/unloading procedures and safety practices in a warehouse environment is beneficial. Must be dependable, have a clean driving record. Our client's Auto insurance requires drivers to be at least 24 years old. After 90 days, paid holidays for full-time employees, and 5 days of PTO after 1 year of full-time employment.
