Job Description
Long-Term Care Delivery Driver This position is an important part of the HomeTown Pharmacy Long Term Care operations. This individual will be in contact and represent our store to each client/facility they service. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, able to multitask, and enjoys working with customers. A successful Delivery Driver enjoys working with others in an effective manner, strives to always improve themselves, who is flexible and adaptable, provides quality service to customers, and understands what it means to be professional. As a Delivery Driver, your typical day would include: Working as a collaborative team member to meet the service goals of the pharmacy Create a welcoming environment by greeting all customers and providing quick and efficient service Deliver medications to Long Term Care Facilities and/or Patient homes Maintain a safe pharmacy environment by adhering to health code guidelines and corporate standards. Working Knowledge of all aspects of Delivery Department Manual. Check in delivered medications against the delivery manifest with facility staff and return the signed manifest copy to the pharmacy. Collect all forms, medications, BUB's from the facility to be returned to the pharmacy on a daily basis Make certain all medications returned to the pharmacy have an accompanying Return Med Log completed by the facility and signed by the driver Basic of medications cart and fax machine maintenance and troubleshooting Skills that are an absolute must include: Maintain good vision for day and night driving, shifts are typically (but not always) from 6pm to 2am Outstanding Customer Services Skills Effective Communication Skills Attention to detail Time Management Organization Skills Basic Computer Skills Willingness to learn new skills Valid and clean driver license Ability to work independently Benefits of working for
