Occasional Fridays may be needed based on business needs.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Class A Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of parts, materials, and products between company locations, vendors, and customers. This role ensures accurate pickup and delivery of shipments while supporting internal receiving and material handling activities as needed. The position requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, customer service, and maintaining compliance with all transportation and company requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to complete daily pickups and deliveries of parts, materials, and products to company vendors, customers, and other locations. Load, unload, transport, and stage materials using equipment such as hand jacks, forklifts, and assisted pallet jacks while following all safety procedures. Coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, and Purchasing teams to support efficient routing, scheduling, pickups, and deliveries. Maintain required CDL qualifications and comply with all applicable DOT, company, and safety requirements. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Class A CDL and ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle, forklift (hi-lo), and other required material handling equipment. Ability to accurately verify and reconcile shipping documentation, received parts paperwork, and loaded materials. Professional communication and customer service skills when interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Proficient in using ERP systems, email, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred. Valid Class A CDL required. Minimum of one year of Class A commercial driving experience required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly communicate and exchange accurate information with co-workers, customers, and vendors. Frequently sit, stand, and remain stationary while performing driving, loading, unloading, and administrative tasks. Frequently move throughout the facility and occasionally climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or position oneself around equipment and materials. Regularly operate equipment and handle materials requiring dexterity, grip strength, and attention to detail. Frequently lift, carry, load, and transport parts, materials, tools, and equipment weighing 10-60 pounds. Must have the ability to perform visual inspections, including close vision, distance vision, color recognition, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires extended periods of driving and time spent operating a commercial vehicle. Work may be performed in both transportation and manufacturing environments with occasional exposure to loud noise, dirt, and dust. Must be able to safely work around vehicles, loading areas, and material handling equipment while following all safety procedures.
