Job Description
Position Summary The Part-Time Pharmacy Delivery Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and courteous delivery of prescription medications and medical equipment to patients and healthcare facilities. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to deliver and assemble larger durable medical equipment — including lift chairs — in a professional and safe manner. Key Responsibilities Operate a company vehicle to deliver prescriptions, medical supplies, and equipment to customers in a timely and secure manner. Deliver and assist with setup or assembly of lift chairs and other medical equipment as needed. Verify accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary documentation and signatures. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information. Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure it remains clean, safe, and operational. Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team regarding delivery status or issues. Provide friendly, respectful service to all patients and healthcare partners. Assist in loading/unloading deliveries as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift, move, and deliver items up to 75 pounds , including lift chairs and medical supplies. Previous delivery or logistics experience preferred; healthcare or pharmacy experience is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and time management. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Availability for flexible part-time hours Work Environment Frequent driving with deliveries in various weather conditions. Moderate to heavy lifting of medical products and equipment. Interaction with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
