Delivery Driver The purpose of the Driver is to load, transport, and deliver food to various kitchens in a safe and sanitary way. When the Driver is not involved in the delivery of food, he/she is assigned to general tasks in the Nutrition Services Department. Ready to change the world? Responsibilities:

Safely operate company/district vehicles to transport food, supplies, equipment, and other materials between locations. Load and unload food, supplies, catering equipment, and deliveries. Regularly lift, carry, move, and/or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds. Maintain proper inventory rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Check dates and product condition when organizing coolers, freezers, dry storage, and other inventory areas. Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and rotating food and supplies. Work in a commercial kitchen environment and assist with food service operations as needed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with catering events, including setup, transportation, service support, breakdown, cleaning, and returning equipment and supplies to the appropriate locations. Perform cleaning and sanitation duties following catering events and throughout normal kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, storage areas, equipment, and workspaces. Work cooperatively with kitchen managers, food service staff, administration, and other team members. Maintain a flexible work schedule based on operational and catering needs. Hours may vary and may include early mornings, later afternoons/evenings, or other times outside the regular daily schedule. Perform other food service, delivery, kitchen, catering, and operational duties as assigned based on business needs.

Physical & Work Requirements:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading. The employee must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in kitchen, cooler, freezer, storage, loading, and delivery environments. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required for employees operating company or district vehicles.
