Job Description
Overview We are an industrial cleaning company, which requires support from a safety minded cdl driver. We have several vacuum trucks, and two semi tractor/trailer rigs to support the company. Must be willing to work with on-site crews . Driving is a small portion of the job . Must have a tanker endorsement; Hazmat endorsement is helpful. This position could be a good opportunity for a retired/semi retired driver if not looking for full time . Full time available as well. Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including manual transmission tractor-trailers, straight trucks, and pickup/trailer combos Load and unload liquid and solid by products Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Manage route driving responsibilities efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Load, secure, and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or hazardous materials when applicable. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Experience Proven truck driving experience with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with endorsements for tanker or hazmat certifications Hands-on experience driving tractor-trailers with manual transmissions in various environments. Familiarity with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route planning. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and transportation. Experience operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs in compliance with DOT standards. Prior delivery driver experience involving route driving across urban or rural areas is highly desirable.
