A Sales Delivery Driver drives a truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and sells or delivers goods, such as food products, including restaurant take-out items, or pick up or deliver items such as commercial laundry. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery. Includes newspaper delivery drivers. Excludes gig economy drivers.
Minimum two years required Precision Transport Company is seeking an experienced Final Mile Delivery Driver to deliver appliances and other large retail merchandise as part of a two-person delivery team. RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate a 26-foot box truck and complete assigned delivery routes Load, secure, transport, unload, and place appliances and large merchandise Protect customers' homes and merchandise from damage Work closely with a delivery helper to complete deliveries safely and efficiently Assist with basic assembly, setup, and approved appliance connections Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, diagrams, and manufacturer instructions safely Inspect merchandise, verify delivery documentation, and report damage or delivery issues Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and the delivery team Complete required vehicle inspections and follow all traffic and safety requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years of final-mile, appliance, white-glove, furniture, moving, or similar delivery experience Experience safely operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle Valid driver's license and a safe driving record Reliable transportation to the Romulus location Available to begin work at 7:00 a.m. and work five to six days per week Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with appliance installation or equipment troubleshooting Ability to perform repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling as part of a two-person team Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Dependable, punctual, professional, and customer-focused Smartphone with dependable service Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record review PAY Starting pay is $200 per workday. Route length may vary depending on delivery volume, mileage, traffic, weather, and customer requirements.
