Route Delivery Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Route Driver for Pointe Dairy Services and utilizing your Chauffer's License to deliver essential goods efficiently and safely. Pointe Dairy Services is a family owned and operated business serving Michigan and Northern Ohio since 1968. Pointe Dairy supplies stores, restaurants, ice cream shops, schools, institutions and coffee shops. Duties Safely operate a delivery vehicle to complete daily routes on time Strong customer services skills Load and unload food products, verifying orders against invoices Deliver products to customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism Ensure proper handling and temperature control of perishable goods Obtain proof of delivery (signatures, documentation, payments if required) Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues Maintain accurate delivery records and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams Handle returns, damaged goods, and discrepancies as needed Qualifications Valid Chauffer's License with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred. DOT card required. Proven experience operating heavy trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or flatbeds. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic regulations. Prior delivery driver experience is preferred; must be comfortable working independently on route schedules.
