Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. Duties Operate a box truck or similar vehicle for deliveries, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload packages and materials efficiently, maintaining organization during the process. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Navigate delivery routes effectively, utilizing GPS or maps to optimize travel time. Communicate with warehouse staff regarding inventory levels and delivery schedules. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries. Handle paperwork related to deliveries, including invoices and delivery confirmations. Assist in moving items within the warehouse as needed, contributing to overall operational efficiency. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred. Ability to operate both manual transmission vehicles and automatic vehicles. Experience in heavy lifting and physical labor; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing deliveries efficiently.
