Job Description

Job Summary Responsible for safe, timely and accurate delivery of medical and nonmedical equipment, furniture and supplies to various locations. Must be able to operate straight trucks in all weather and driving conditions. Required to perform vehicle inspections, report needed repairs and minor cleaning duties. This position requires organization, flexibility and reliability. May be required to operate cargo vans or other types of vehicles based on business needs. Essential Functions Responsible for safely, timely and accurate delivery of medical and nonmedical equipment, furniture and supplies to various locations. Abides by all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and training. Represents Spectrum Health in a professional manner upholding our core values of compassion, collaboration, courage and curiosity. Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notifies supervisor or lead of anticipated repair needs as appropriate. Follows appropriate protocol and procedures for accident/incident occurrences. Follow guide books outlined in each vehicle and notify leadership immediately. Operate Hi-Lo and electric pallet jacks when needed. Keep vehicles clean, organized and prepared for the next driver to utilize. Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Must be 21 years of age Must have excellent driving record LIC-Chauffeur License
