- Jennie-O Turkey Store Medford, MN, United States Be the First to Apply Job Description Feed Delivery Truck Driver Full Time Hourly At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $22.00
- $30.
Purpose of Position :
Safely and efficiently deliver feed to grow out farms and haul ingredients as required. Help fellow employees with safety, customer service, productivity and cost control by providing personal involvement in feed delivery management and operating decisions or problem solving.Working Conditions:
Working environment includes both outside and indoor activities. Exposure to all weather conditions is possible. Position requires the ability to work in weather extremes. Physical effort required for working with various electronic and mechanical equipment. Must have ability to lift 50 pounds.Principle Accountabilities :
Safe and efficient operation of tractor, trailer combination. Routine and preventive maintenance on truck and trailer. The efficient delivery of feed to correct building and tank per written feed tickets. Follow company sanitation and trucking procedures. Follow company safety and work policies. Have and maintain proper licensure requirements as per company policy. Perform tasks and duties deemed necessary by management to complete your job or maintain job coordination with other company areas. Keep equipment in good clean working order. Maintain accurate logging of miles, tons, time and other required information. Report to management all needed repairs. Follow all biosecurity guidelines, including, but not limited to, showering before work each day, not wearing personal shoes on farm, using company provided boots on farm. Perform other duties as instructed and assigned by management. Have open communication with fellow employees and farm management. Conduct self in a positive, team oriented manner.Minimum Qualification:
Must have reliable means of transportation to and from assigned farm. Good previous attendance records (school and/or previous employment). Able to work 7 days/week with some varied hours and with some weekends and holidays. Possess a level of math, reading, and writing skills necessary to successfully perform record keeping task required of the position. Valid Driver's License, CDL and up to date medical card.
