Job Description

N.M.T. Companies Inc. is a family owned and operated excavation, septic installation and trucking company based in Cambridge, Minnesota. We are looking for a dependable Part-Time Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This position will primarily involve local aggregate hauling for our customers as well as hauling materials and supporting our crews on septic installation and excavation projects. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver who is looking for flexible, part-time work. It could be an especially good fit for someone who is retired or semi-retired and wants to continue driving without committing to a full-time schedule. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour, with pay based on experience. Duties Safely operate company trucks for local aggregate hauling Haul sand, gravel, Class 5, dirt and other aggregate materials Deliver materials to customer properties and construction sites Haul materials needed for our septic installation and excavation projects Support our crews with trucking needs throughout the workday Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections Properly secure loads and follow DOT requirements Maintain a clean and safe truck Communicate with our team regarding deliveries, job sites and scheduling Represent N.M.T. Companies professionally when working with customers Qualifications Valid Class A CDL required Acceptable driving record Previous commercial driving experience preferred Dump truck and aggregate hauling experience strongly preferred Experience around excavation or construction sites is a plus Ability to safely maneuver trucks on residential and construction job sites Dependable and punctual Good communication skills Able to work independently Must take pride in safely operating and caring for company equipment Schedule This is a part-time position with hours based on our workload and scheduled projects. The schedule may vary from week to week. Our work is primarily local to Cambridge and the surrounding communities. This is not an OTR position and does not require overnight travel.
