Job Description
Delivery Driver Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering eggs, meat, and produce to customers across multiple locations on a four-day workweek, Tuesday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating straight box trucks, establishing positive relationships with customers, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This position offers an opportunity to work with new equipment in a dynamic environment dedicated to quality service. Duties Safely operate straight box trucks to deliver products to various locations including Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbia, Springfield, and Jeff City. Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Communicate professionally with clients, addressing any questions or concerns during delivery. Lift and handle cases of meat, eggs, and produce weighing up to 40 pounds, practicing safe lifting techniques. Load and unload products from the truck, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers to promote satisfaction and repeat business. Complete delivery documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving straight box trucks preferred. Background in driving with a focus on safety and route management. Ability to climb in and out of the back of a box truck regularly and lift 40-pound cases safely. Strong communication skills for client interaction and problem-solving. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently within a scheduled four-day workweek (Tuesday through Friday). Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain professionalism at all times.
