Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting (push, pull, drag up to 50lbs.). As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service. Responsibilities Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle, ensuring all items are secure and accounted for. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Operate box trucks or other commercial vehicles. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues. Handle heavy lifting of packages or materials as required during deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including operating forklifts if certified. Experience Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is essential. Experience with loading and unloading cargo safely is required. Ability to operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle. Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy lifting is required. A valid class E driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
