Job Overview - 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM Shift, M-F The Delivery Team Member assists with food and beverage products, packing and transportation for deliveries to local businesses in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires a sense of urgency and attention to detail to meet daily business goals and objectives and to participate in driving overall success for the Market. Duties/Responsibilities Shipping and receiving. Ensure delivery items are packed correctly. Material storage. Maintain and store materials and inventory according to procedures. Quality control. Inspecting and ensuring product packaging meets brand standards before shipping or delivery. Work environment organization. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace according to local state and city health department and FairWave policies and regulations. Shift management. Complying with attendance rules and showing up for your scheduled shift on time, and reporting any vacation, tardies, or call-outs to your Direct Leader according to Company policies and procedures. Order management. Verifying that orders are received, entered, packed, and distributed on time. Customer complaints. Handling customer complaints with patience and kindness and elevating any serious complaints to the Department Leader when necessary. Product delivery. Learning and driving designated delivery routes for your Market and being accountable for delivering goods and services on time to ensure the customer or vendor has what they need to operate. Vehicle operation. Operating company vehicle safely, following all local and state laws pertaining to vehicle and delivery handling, and returning the vehicle in good condition. Reporting accidents and/or vehicle concerns to the Department Leader immediately after occurrence. Customer engagement. Engaging with customers via email, phone, or in person with a deep understanding of our products and services. Position refinement and feedback. Learning our processes and procedures and being open to feedback to elevate your knowledge of day-to-day Company operations. Core values champion. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Must have a valid current driver's license and clean driving record, if needed will complete Dot Driver Screening, if the truck in which you are driving requires DOT certification. Varies by Market. Pass a background and motor vehicle check. Forklift certification is not required but is a plus. Familiarity with local coffee competitors helpful. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to waist height. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. above your head. Ability to work a flexible work schedule and meet business demands, including weekends and holidays. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to work on a computer and have a basic understanding of how to operate Microsoft Office Suite. Capability to stand on your feet for a shift of 8 hours or more at one time.
