Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a part time employee to assist in Shipping and perform deliveries in company trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting shipping operations such as packaging and as needed drive company vehicles locally to deliver products. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in part time, flexible employment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and possess a strong understanding of commercial vehicle operation and warehouse procedures. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, and shuttle buses to deliver goods to designated locations. Class E license required to operate our 24' straight truck. Load and unload shipments efficiently using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual handling techniques. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met. Support warehouse activities such as moving freight within the facility and organizing inventory for efficient access. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, manual transmission driving, and commercial vehicle handling. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving or shuttle driving within a commercial vehicle environment. Strong knowledge of driving regulations including manual transmission vehicles, heavy haul operations, and route driving best practices. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (certification preferred), and tow trucks. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients. Ability to move freight safely using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment. Experience operating various types of commercial vehicles such as box trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or school buses is a plus.
