PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Join our team and help keep our customers moving. We are seeking a safety-focused, customer-oriented Petroleum Delivery Specialist to transport and deliver fuel and lubricant products to commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers. In this role, you will operate tanker trucks, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant deliveries while supporting the growth of our energy business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Safely operate tanker trucks to transport and deliver petroleum products. Load and unload fuel products while following all safety and environmental regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly. Follow DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company policies related to hazardous material transportation and fuel handling. Maintain structured delivery routes and ensure on-time deliveries according to customer schedules. Communicate professionally with customers regarding deliveries, service needs, and concerns. Accurately complete delivery tickets, invoices, sales logs, and required documentation. Respond appropriately to spills, emergencies, or safety incidents and report issues immediately. Promote company programs, products, and financing options to customers and prospects. Develop customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and maintain a prospect list. Assist with collections and support company credit policies. Follow up on customer concerns and work toward timely resolution. Maintain assigned vehicles and company equipment according to company standards. Uphold a professional appearance and comply with company uniform policies.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent required. CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred, or ability to obtain within six months of employment. Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices. Prior experience in fuel delivery, trucking, or hazardous material transportation preferred. Familiarity with petroleum products, fuel storage, and handling procedures is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform vehicle inspections. Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed. Willingness to work flexible hours during seasonal demands and travel overnight occasionally when required.
