Job Overview Join our dynamic delivery team as a Contracted Delivery Driver for FedEx Ground in the St. Roberts, Waynesville, and Fort Leonard Wood areas where your energy and dedication will drive our success! In this vital role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting packages to customers, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles. Load and unload packages efficiently. Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at multiple destinations throughout your shift. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring package accuracy. Handle heavy lifting during loading and unloading processes, maintaining proper safety protocols at all times. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to report issues or delays promptly. Qualifications Valid Class E driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred but not necessary, training is available. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks safely during load & unload activities. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and proper vehicle maintenance procedures. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and handling physically demanding tasks.
