In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering liquid propane along designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and exceptional customer service to our residential customers. In this role, you will also perform service work including tank sets, tank painting and plant maintenance as assigned. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will drive our success forward. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while maintaining the highest safety standards on the road. Responsibilities Safely operate tankers to deliver Liquid Propane across your routes. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and efficient delivery schedules. Load and unload cargo with proper manual handling techniques, adhering to safety protocols. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling procedures. Manage over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, maintaining communication with dispatch for route adjustments or updates. Securely transport automobile transportation or other specialty freight, ensuring cargo integrity during transit. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Document delivery activities accurately, including load & unload records, delivery confirmations, and incident reports. Qualifications Proven experience in delivery driving or commercial truck driving, preferably with Hazardous Materials in tanker vehicles. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with manual transmission endorsement preferred. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Skilled in route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient deliveries across diverse locations. Ability to handle logistics cargo handling, load & unload operations, and freight management safely and effectively. Experience with hazardous goods or dangerous materials transportation is a plus. Strong manual handling skills for truck loading and unloading tasks; physically capable of managing freight loads.
