Delivery Driver Job Description Job Title:

$14.00 per hour to $16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

High school education or equivalent. Ability to safely drive 1 ton delivery truck. Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL not required. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift and carry 5 - gallon water bottles (45 pounds). Organized individual. Flexible & adaptable individual.

Responsibilities/Duties :

This person is responsible for route delivery of the company's 5-gallon & 3-gallon spring water product to various customer accounts, which include private residences, grocery stores, hospitals, businesses, etc. This position is highly physical! Specifically, this person will be: Loading the delivery truck with 3 & 5-gallon product, Delivering 3 &5-gallon to the company's route customers, Delivering 3 &-5-gallon to company's call-in customers, Accurately filling out deliver slips with product pricing including bottle deposits/credits, Collecting payments on accounts as applicable, Accurately record in the route delivery books the date and amount of product delivered to each customer, Evaluate the order of route deliveries and, if necessary, rearrange the order to maximize route efficiency, Prepare new route cards as necessary, Complete simple weekly maintenance tasks on the delivery truck such as checking oil, transmission, and coolant levels, checking tire air pressure, and checking all controls and lights for proper operation, Unload truck at the end of the day, Work in safe manner and follow all company safety rules, attend company safety meetings, Learn bottling operation and fill-in when required, Promote company's product and acquire new customers as time permits, All other assigned duties.
