Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, to complete daily routes efficiently. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Follow prescribed routes using mobile devices and GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages directly to customers' doors, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform safe lifting practices during loading, unloading, and delivery processes. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and digital records using mobile devices or other electronic tools. Comply with all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission operation, warehouse operations, and weight handling in the workplace. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong understanding of route driving and delivery procedures. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or forklifts is highly desirable. Ability to handle heavy loads safely, demonstrating manual handling skills and adherence to safe lifting practices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks preferred. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices essential for compliance and safety on the road. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Comfort operating manual transmission vehicles or heavy-duty trucks; familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation and record keeping is a plus.
