Job Description
PHF Holdings, Inc., a Contracted Service Provider of FedEx Corporation is seeking a dependable and motivated Lead Driver to join our growing delivery team based in Monroe, NC. This leadership role combines daily package delivery responsibilities with hands-on operational support, driver coaching, and route coordination. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and capable of leading by example in a fast-paced environment. As a Lead Driver, you will serve as a key support member between management and drivers by helping ensure routes run efficiently, deliveries are completed on time, and team members maintain high service and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles to complete daily package pickup and delivery routes Provide route coverage and assist during peak delivery periods or driver absences Track to be a Supervisor! Training and mentoring new drivers on delivery procedures, scanner usage, navigation, and safety practices. Assist dispatch with route planning, service optimization, and communication with drivers throughout the day Monitor daily performance and help ensure timely and accurate deliveries Promote and enforce DOT and company safety regulations Address customer concerns professionally and help resolve delivery-related issues Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Previous delivery driving or logistics experience a plus, but not required Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Great attitude; careful a planning and executing tasks Ability to work independently and in a team environment Comfortable using handheld scanners, GPS systems, and routing technology Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with assistance when needed Must pass background check and drug screening What We Offer Competitive weekly pay Opportunities for advancement and leadership growth Paid Company Holidays Annual PTO program offered after 1st anniversary with PHF New employee referral program Paid training and ongoing support Team-oriented work environment Consistent full-time schedule Performance Bonus!
