Job Title:
CDL Hazmat Driver FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt, hourly Competitive wages, health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and company contribution to a retirement plan.
Job Summary:
Maintain and safely operate semi tractor used to deliver chemicals to customer field locations. Provide chemical offloads into storage tanks and trailer drops at customer sites across North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming . Proper pre-trip inspections, daily truck operations, and operating valves and processes to offload chemicals from various trailers. Willing to travel and stay overnight remotely up to 3 days a week.
Essential Duties:
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company vehicle and equipment
  • Properly load trucks
  • Deliver chemicals to customer locations on schedule
  • Timely completion of load reports (electronic format)
  • Maintain driver's logs, according to DOT regulations
  • Work well independently and as a team
  • Provide excellent customer service verbally and with day-to-day actions
Qualifications Education/Experience:
High school graduate or
GED. 1-3
years in oil and gas industry preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement required.
Driving Requirements:
Follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations. Physical Requirements - Lift and carry up to 100 pounds, tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds with the use of equipment. Must be able to reach, push, pull, and grasp with arms and hands. Will require daily climbing, standing, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, driving and transitioning in/out of vehicles. Must be able to talk, hear and feel attributes of objects or temperatures by touching with the skin. Required to have the visual acuity to safely and legally operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. Work Environment - Indoors and outdoors, with exposure to environmental conditions such as extreme weather, precipitation and wind. Includes potential exposure to harmful chemicals, dust, odors, fumes, oil and gases. Employee will be subject to road conditions found throughout the basin(s). Noise level is typically moderate and occasionally loud. Language Skills - Ability to read, interpret and understand documents such as safety rules, safety data sheets (SDS's), operating instructions and procedure manual. English language fluency in reading, writing and speaking. Bi-lingual is beneficial. Computer Skills - Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, electronic timesheets and programs such as OneNote for recording daily deliveries. Work Ethic - Be trustworthy, dependable, respectful, and truthful with a commitment to safety and excellent customer service. Follow policies and procedures and take responsibility for your own actions.
