Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team! Tuesday 9 am-12 pm Friday 9 am-5 pm Tasks involve deliveries between our 3 locations in Morris plains, east Hanover and Whippany. along with adeliveries of bread/cheese to wholesale customers. Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths and maintaining timely deliveries. Uphold safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injuries. Build strong customer relationships through friendly communication, professional demeanor, and attentive service. Conduct merchandising activities by organizing and displaying products during deliveries to enhance client satisfaction. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pricing adjustments, and client interactions in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, contributing to sales goals and customer needs fulfillment. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, including commercial truck driving or automobile transportation. Familiarity with retail store environments or delivery services is highly desirable. Strong math skills for handling pricing, basic calculations, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, route coordination, and team collaboration. Knowledge of DOT regulations ensures safe and compliant driving practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting techniques. Organizational skills for route planning, documentation accuracy, and time management are essential.
