Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods along designated routes. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe handling of heavy items. Follow planned delivery routes accurately while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, addressing their questions and building positive relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and maintain vehicle safety standards. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, route logs, and inventory records for accountability and organizational efficiency. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly desirable. Retail store experience or merchandising background helps in understanding product placement and presentation. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and heavy lifting techniques to ensure safety on the job. Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships through friendly service and professional conduct. Organizational skills for route planning, documentation accuracy, and time management are essential for success in this role.
