Job Description

Overview Preferred Fuel is a family-owned distributor of home heating oil as well as on-road and off-road diesel fuel. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting fuel to various locations while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving as well as fuel delivery. Safely operate fuel delivery trucks Deliver Diesel, Heating Oil and Gasoline Load and unload fuel efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation. Navigate assigned routes effectively while maintaining delivery schedules. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities delivered and any discrepancies. Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding fuel transportation and handling. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with HAZMAT and TANKER endorsements Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC Card) Experience delivering fuel is strongly preferred Experience loading at fuel terminals in Newark and Linden NJ desired Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. Must pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy. Pay rate based upon experience
