NON-CDL BOX TRUCK DRIVER POSITION

TO DOCK PICKUPS AND DROP-OFFS THIS JOB WILL REQUIRE THE DRIVER TO TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE ORIGINATING STATE INTO OTHER STATES TO MAKE DROP-OFFS. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE THE DRIVER TO BE ON THE ROAD, POSSIBLY STAYING IN HOTELS OVERNIGHT IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE DELIVERY IN THE DESTINATION STATE. FULL JOB DESCRIPTION DRIVER WILL DRIVE TO PICK-UP LOCATIONS. WHICH WILL GENERALLY BE WAREHOUSES. THE TRUCK WILL BE LOADED BY THE DRIVER OR SHIPPING COMPANY AT THE PICK-UP LOCATION. IF LOADED BY THE SHIPPER, THE DRIVER MAY BE ASKED TO POSITION PALLETS IN THE TRUCK USING THE PALLET JACK. DRIVER WILL HAVE TO SECURE EVERY LOAD CORRECTLY BY USING STRAPS AND LOADING BARS TO KEEP THE LOAD AND PALLET JACK IN PLACE DURING THE DRIVE. ONCE LOADED THE DRIVER WILL PROCEED TO THE NEXT PICK-UP LOCATION OR THE DROP-OFF LOCATION DEPENDING ON THE ROUTE PLANS. CONDUCT PRE-TRIP & POST-TRIP INSPECTIONS.

Hour Driving Limit:

May drive a maximum of 11 Hours after 10 Hours off duty 14

Hour Limit:

May not drive beyond 14 consecutive hours after coming on duty. 30

Minute Driving Break:

must take a 30-minute break when they have driven for a period of 8 cumulative hours without at least a 30-minute interruption. Must take at least 34 consecutive off-duty hours before beginning a new 7/8-day duty period. 60/70-hour limit: driving time is limited to 60 hours within seven consecutive days or to 70 hours within eight consecutive days

PROOF OF DELIVERY AND EMAIL TO ROUTE/ MANAGER CONTACT UPON COMPLETION OF DELIVERY. REPORT DEFECTS, ACCIDENTS, OR VIOLATIONS USING INCIDENT FORMS LOCATED IN THE TRUCK. SKILLS

Proven work experience as a truck driver The driver should have experience with ELD electronic logging devices. But it is not necessary. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)

VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
