Full-time Delivery Driver/Events Support

Flora Couture, a renowned floral, gift, and delivery service, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of floral arrangements, event décor, gifts, and event-related items to our valued customers and venues. This position also includes assisting with event installations and strikes, including loading, unloading, placing décor, and returning items after events. Responsibilities Safe and Timely Deliveries Safely transport floral arrangements, gifts, event décor, supplies, and other items to customer locations and event venues in a timely manner. Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize delays. Ensure all products are handled with care and arrive in excellent condition. Event Installations and Strikes Assist with event deliveries, installations, and setup as directed by the Event Lead or manager. Load and unload floral arrangements, vessels, décor, candles, props, stands, and other event-related items. Place event décor according to instructions, floor plans, or direction from the event team. Assist with event strikes, including removing arrangements, décor, candles, vessels, props, and supplies from the venue after the event. Return rental items, vessels, and company property to the shop in good condition. Work efficiently during installs and strikes while maintaining professionalism on-site. Customer Service Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and events, maintaining a positive, professional demeanor and appearance. Communicate effectively with customers, venue staff, event planners, and internal team members to ensure a smooth delivery or event experience. Represent Flora Couture with professionalism at all times. Vehicle Maintenance Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any maintenance issues or concerns promptly. Maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness before, during, and after each shift. Ensure vehicles are loaded safely and properly to protect products and prevent damage. Documentation and Paperwork Complete accurate and detailed delivery paperwork as required by the supervisor. Confirm completed deliveries, pickups, installs, and strikes as directed. Report any delivery issues, customer concerns, damages, or missing items promptly. Regulation Compliance Adhere to all traffic, parking, loading, and venue rules and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others. Follow company policies and procedures. Comply with venue loading dock procedures, security requirements, and event site guidelines. Product Knowledge Develop a basic understanding of the floral arrangements, gifts, vessels, décor, and event items being delivered to answer basic customer or venue inquiries. Understand the importance of handling floral and event products with care due to their fragile and perishable nature. Team Collaboration Collaborate with floral designers, concierge/customer service representatives, event leads, managers, and other team members to ensure a seamless delivery and event process. Assist in the shop with loading, organizing, cleaning, staging, and preparing items for deliveries or events as needed. Support the team during busy seasons, large events, holidays, and high-volume delivery days. Flexibility Be flexible with work hours, as delivery schedules may vary based on demand, holidays, special occasions, events, installations, and strikes. Be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and late-night strikes when required. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred. Event setup, warehouse, moving, hospitality, or logistics experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of local roads, venues, hotel loading docks, and traffic patterns is a plus. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload up to 50 pounds. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance. Professional appearance and attitude when interacting with clients, venues, planners, and team members.
