Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and commercial trucks with manual transmissions, to transport goods to customer locations. Load and unload items using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet scheduled delivery times. Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction upon delivery. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are maintained; report any issues promptly. Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies throughout each shift. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong background in route driving and customer service. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Ability to lift heavy items safely during loading and unloading processes; previous experience with heavy lifting is advantageous. Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with physical demands such as moving goods and performing manual tasks regularly. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing friendly, professional customer interactions. Valid driver's license for driver classification or equivalent; knowledge of route planning software is a plus.
