Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a strong, reliable and motivated shed and garage delivery driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting modular sheds, garages and various structures to customers homes while ensuring timely and safe loading, unloading and delivery. This role requires daily excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and shed moving tasks utilizing a specialized trailer as well as manual, physical labor. The Delivery Driver will operate a standard diesel 3500 pick up truck and will also utilize a 24 foot specialized shed hauling trailer along with shed/building jacks and typical tools of the trade any given day, as needed. Duties & Requirements for our ideal candidate
  • Punctuality and adherence to schedules is a must
  • This is a Non-CDL licensed position (but CDL Class A is a plus)
  • Experience driving and backing up a truck with a 24-foot trailer with a load in tow

  • Respectful handling of work equipment and polite interactions with customers
  • Availability:
    Tuesday through Saturday 9-3
  • Every candidate will have full, comprehensive paid training prior to going out on deliveries
  • Possess basic skills & understanding of power tools, ladders and pickup truck maintenance
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations a plus
  • Comfortable working on ladders
  • Comfortable communicating and driving behind/with escort drivers for wide loads
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Some physically demanding work days/ some light days
  • Maintain a neat and organized work vehicle
  • Drive safely and confidently with oversized loads
  • Follow directions effectively using GPS and NAV
  • Maneuver truck and trailer in reverse at every delivery in sometimes tight spaces
  • Deliver buildings ranging from 8' to 14' 11" in width

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role with a strong understanding of route driving. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively Previous experience including familiarity with loading and unloading sheds and trailers is a plus but we will train you! Experience operating vehicles with 24'+ trailers in tow is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks, with physical stamina for long hours Knowledge of operating diesel trucks, trailers and building jacks is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while meeting delivery deadlines required
