- ABC Parts International is a family-run business with more than 40 years of experience in the aftermarket parts business. We are a distributor of auto body parts in the New York, New Jersey & Connecticut areas. We sell aftermarket parts such as hoods, fenders, bumpers, headlights, grilles, radiators, condensers, etc.
- This position has routes in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. A company van will be provided to you after your probationary period.
- Summary As an Auto Parts Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for timely and efficient delivery of auto parts from our warehouse to Brooklyn to meet with other delivery drivers and drop off merchandise twice a day.
With core skills in delivery driver experience, driving, and heavy lifting, you will ensure accurate and safe transportation of goods. Your premium skills in customer service and warehouse experience will enable you to provide exceptional service to clients and effectively manage inventory. Utilizing relevant skills such as route driving and load & unload, you will navigate delivery routes and handle packages with care. Join our team and be a vital part of our logistics operations, delivering quality service to our customers. Schedule 6:30AM to 4:00PM, Monday - Friday

Requirements:
A CLEAN drivers license with no points, tickets, moving violations, or accidents within the last 5 years is a strict requirement due to the regulations of our insurance company. All candidates will undergo a DMV Motor Vehicle Report to verify a clean license and must be approved by our insurance company. A valid license with a minimum of 3 years driving history. Must be able to work well under pressure and follow procedures. Must be able to work in all areas of Long Island and Brooklyn, along with other areas such as Queens, if needed. Must own a Android or Apple smartphone capable of downloading our Delivery & Payroll app. Must be able to drive a full-size Chevy box truck (Approximately 16ft). A DOT Exam is required, paid by our company. The completion of a background check is required.
Responsibilities:
Deliver customer orders in a timely fashion. Accurately verify parts loaded against customer orders. Unload parts and confirm that the correct parts are delivered as ordered. Collect payments from customers as dictated on the sales orders (cash and checks). Process customer returns and write the RGA's neatly and accurately. Drive in a safe manner and follow all company driving policies including state laws.
Commercial Vehicle Parking :
You must be able to safely park a commercial vehicle . The type of vehicles are Ford Transit, Nissan NV1500, Ram ProMaster, GMC/Chevrolet Express cargo van. Follow all company policies regarding paperwork and monies. Weekly pre-trip inspection must be performed every Monday and the van kept clean and free of trash and food.
